Eric Jenkinson OBE has been High Commissioner to the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago since April 2007. He has been a member of Her Majesty’s Diplomatic Service since 1967 and has experience in a number of British diplomatic missions around the world. Prior to Port of Spain, he was High Commissioner to the Republic of The Gambia.

Eric leads a High Commission that is dedicated to implementing British Government priorities in the Caribbean, providing support to British nationals and commercial interests in Trinidad and Tobago, and strengthening the already close relationship between communities in Trinidad and Tobago and Britain.

Eric is accompanied by his wife,Máire.
